Users can retrieve information through context-sensitive help links included in the Blue² and Claims Administration applications as well as directly using the metadata website. All content is stored and managed in a metadata repository. Our client is in need of a Java Developer to help build out the capability of the metadata tools to document and cross-reference additional data structures including COBOL copybooks and XML schemas. The work will leverage existing design patterns and class designs. In addition, the developer will design and code new Java classes using the iText tools to produce PDF documents that users can download from the website. Assists the Managing Director of Data Architecture to develop Java tools and an interactive website that provides detailed information on software and data structures developed by BCBSA and used by BlueCross and BlueShield Plans across the United States. The tools and website are driven by a metadata repository that is being converted from Microsoft Access to SQL Server.
