Title                       :               WebLogic Administrator

Position Type     :               90 day right to hire; no sponsorship or H1 
transfer available

Location               :               Simpsonville, SC 29681 (near Greenville)

 

Our client is growing their team and they are in need of a seasoned WebLogic 
Administrator who is strong in Operations and has the ability to build.

Current environment: they are deploying Siebel version now on Windows platform 
and UNIX OS.  Must understand SOA-most critical apps is Siebel (owned now by 
Oracle).

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

           Install, Configure, and Administer WebLogic Server in various 
environments

           Work on Deployment and troubleshooting of components and 
applications in WAR, JAR, and EAR formats in both Domain and Clustered 
environments

           Thorough knowledge and understanding and work experience in BEA 
WebLogic Server

           Thorough knowledge and understanding and work experience in 
WebCenter and SOA with Oracle Fusion Middleware such as OBS, BPEL, etc. 

           Configure Node manager to administer the Managed servers.

           Configure and manage secured environments using SSL and digital 
certificates.

           Install and configure Apache HTTP Server plug-in to proxy the 
request from Apache HTTP Server to the WebLogic Server.

           Tune the parameters for better Performance of critical applications 
deployed in WebLogic Server.

           Performance tuning of JVM heap size and garbage collections.

           Involvement with the development teams in trouble shooting and 
fixing day-to-day problems of the applications on 24/7 schedule. 

Required Skills: 

           BS Computer Science or related study preferred or equivalent 
experience (3-5 years of work experience in Middleware)

           Thorough knowledge and understanding and work experience in BEA 
WebLogic Server

           Thorough knowledge and understanding and work experience in 
WebCenter and SOA are essential as they are deploying it today with Siebel=will 
make for an easy learning curve.

           OEM

           Tomcat

           Apache

           Red Hat Enterprise Linux

           Windows

           WebCenter and SOA Understanding certificates and how they are 
deployed in the middle tier is needed.  Their security dept. is big into 
digital certificates.

           Open to being on call every 3-4 weeks

Experience with Any of the Following is a Plus:

           Sun Solaris

           Remedy

           VCM
