The skill set and job descriptions are below. Need 1 candidate with this skill set immediately.* Required Skills: · Must have good understanding of Vertica capabilities and its tools for deployment and support · Must have hands on experience deploying, working, and supporting Vertica databases · Must have experience translating requirements into DB solutions including determining infrastructure specs for deploying the database. This includes the use of Vertica schemas and other security capabilities for implementing a multi-tenant solution · Must have good understanding of data modeling, Big Data, and reporting concepts and solutions · Must have experience working with stakeholders to translate their requirements into logical data models and then into physical models for implementation. · Must be capable to design, develop, implement, and maintain data models for NMS solutions, starting with the Reporting solution · Must be able to work with Developers providing direction and support for the best use of the Vertica database · Must have working experience to improve database performance by adding indexes, modifying tables, and using other performance enhancement mechanisms provided by Vertica · Must have hands-on experience with the underlying infrastructure to run the Vertica databases (OS level, Physical and virtual, Linux, windows, etc.). · Must have clear communications skills in English and be able to work in a global setup with a virtual team distributed across the globe Job Description: The person in this role will be performing data architecture, data modeling, and DBA functions for the NMS Reporting solution. This solution is going to provide users with the ability to view and create network related reports. The main functions to be performed by this role include: · Install, document, and implement Vertica in support of the NMS Reporting solution · Determine infrastructure requirements and specs for deploying Vertica · Create data models (logical and physical) to be implemented using Vertica · Configure, install, monitor, upgrade and maintain Vertica databases part of the Reporting Solution. · Resolve operational issues involving the Vertica databases · Perform system maintenance on any systems requiring security updates, patching, and upgrading. · Be able to recommened partitioning the data model and the use of Vertica schemas for supporting a multi-tenant environment · Be able to explain and work with others (developers, users, and vendors) to support any questions and / or issues related to the Vertica databases · Create technical documentation, data models diagrams, deployment diagrams, and any other documentation to support the Vertica databases. · Provide administrative support in the form of user changes / enhancements, technical documentation, and diagram support · Configure, create, deploy, and monitor indexes and performance enhancements changes as needed by the developers or the end user to deliver optimum access to the Reporting solution Co-ordinate with vendors for issue and trouble tickets for their components Thanks & Regards Shilpa IT Recruiter.
