Title: Sr Business Analyst

Location: Boston, MA

Location: 6 Months+



Primary Responsibilities: • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions
with business partners • Collaborate with team members to finalize scope •
Translate business requirements into technical specs • Coordinating and
providing business direction to Technical Leads • Adheres to the specified
project methodology and requisite deliverables • Conduct impact analysis,
provides alternate solutions • Create requirements documentation, schedules
and leads reviews , obtains final approval from all stakeholders •
Participate in peer reviews • Communicate and documents status, issues and
risks effectively • Participate actively in project and team meetings •
Participate in the full life cycle of the project • Work with QA and the
business on test scenarios • Work with business partners and technology
team to define, coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) •
Maintain trusted relationships with business partners Qualifications • 10+
years PM/BA experience in the investment/securities industry • Working
knowledge of standard design methodologies and principles • A strong
business perspective and knowledge of the characteristics and analytics
associated with both physical and synthetic(swap) instruments • Knowledge
of the processing and modeling associated with derivative instruments a
plus • Knowledge of Securities Lending a plus • Custody experience a must •
Prime Broker experience/working knowledge a must • Strong analysis/project
management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks •
Experience working with QA to review test plans and test cases • Excellent
negotiation skills, oral and written communication skills • Must be
excellent in MS Office applications, including VISIO • BS/BA in related
area • MBA is a plus



Description :

Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and
interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving
issues. Participates in business analysis project planning and management
by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing
project documentation. Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions
and improved processes. May also oversee the acquisition, analysis and
dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Provides technical and business
knowledge to clients. Keeps abreast of technological and competitive
developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and
other benchmarking data. Codes and maintains business application programs
from user instructions or formal functional specifications. Experience in
the analysis and testing phases in the development cycle. In addition
having experience of 3 to 6 years.

This candidate is required to be on site in Boston 5 days a week. The IT
business analyst formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based
on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems
and industry requirements. The role includes obtaining and analyzing
business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation
into proper system requirements functional specifications. Performs process
analysis of customer activities and/or systems to identify alternative
business solutions or process improvement opportunities. May analyze
feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or
potential solutions. Possesses the ability and experience to run projects
as a PM as needed.
