Role description: UI Designer Location: NY Duration: 6+ months Company Background Virtusa is a global information technology (IT) services company providing consulting, software development, and outsourcing services. The company has deep engineering and product development roots, yet has historically not focused on UX. This is changing. Virtusa is building a world-class UX team to design and build innovative mobile and web-based apps for it’s corporate clients, and this is a terrific opportunity to help shape and build the UX practice. Job Role: § UI Designing Tools (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks). § Familiarity with the following will be an advantage: JavaScript, JQuery, CSS3, HTML5, BIRT, Bootstrap Job description: • Significant professional experience in online experience design, favoring online applications (not just marketing-type websites, not print experience) • Ability to translate wireframes, verbal ideas and text requirements into pixel-perfect concepts and designs that demonstrate the user experience • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks) or similar tool to create user interfaces • Sensitivity to visual design patterns; ability to create and maintain guidelines for visual assets and application brand • Experience designing from wireframes and in collaboration with a user experience/information architect, product manager, and software development team • Ability to extend existing look/feel to new functional elements • High degree of familiarity with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery (meaning, they’ve designed for it, not that they can code in it) • Superior current knowledge of user experience principles, graphic design standards, design trends, and techniques for web and mobile software products • Experience working with responsive design and/or mobile design • Experience with data visualization and/or BIRT Report Designer is a plus • Familiarity with Bootstrap is a plus. • Experience developing multi-language UI design is a plus Education Bachelor’s degreeina design discipline (or relevant experience). *Please submit resumes to a...@milo-tech.com <a...@milo-tech.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "REQSRESUMES" group.
