Work shall be conducted in the following environments at the
Federated Data Center at State of California’s Technology Agency (CTA) and
DCA Headquarters:
• SPARC T4
• Unix Solaris 11
• Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition – 64 bit Production
• Real Application Clustering
• Active Data Guard
7. Contractor/Consultant Skills and Experience
Required Consultant minimum skills, experience and qualifications include:
A. Eight (8) years of experience as an Oracle DBA using Oracle
9/10/11 (within last eleven (11) years).
B. Three (3) years of experience installing/upgrading Oracle 11g.
C. Three (3) years of experience with Solaris 10/11 operating systems.
D. Three (3) years of experience with Production Real-time
Application Clustering (RAC) installations with at least one (1) year in
the current year.
E. Three (3) years of experience with Production Active Dataguard
installations with at least one (1) year in the current year.
F. Five (5) years of experience implementing best practices for
Database Management Systems (DBMS) logging backup/recovery methods,
performance tuning and administration.
G. Three (3) years of experience in n-tier distributed architecture.
H. Excellent communication (oral and written), team and mentoring
skills (determined by resume).
I. Excellent documentation skills (determined by resume).
J. Possession of a current Oracle technician certification for at
least three (3) years.
