Primary Purpose:
Assists in providing PTC reconciliation systems support and
resolving complex problems associated with base data conversion for PTC
utilizing geospatial and dispatching applications.
Principal Duties:
- Assists in paying a critical role in implementing and supporting the
Positive Train Control (PTC) system.
- Assists in the shared responsibility of control file maintenance,
and continued in-service support of our new high-tech transportation
dispatching and train movement related system, Unified Train Control
System (UTCS) and Positive Train Control (PTC).
-Utilize hybrid Arc Map and Geospatial application to update data files
Associated with PTC the subdiv creation process.
- Gathers, converts, and manages database control file data, desktop
environments, productivity and communication tools, including
installing and configuring systems and office automation products,
evaluating and integrating new products and working with other
application development teams.
- Assists with ensuring that the current and future systems provide a
safe and reliable operating environment for NS and the people
involved in train operations.
