Position : Sr Java Developer Location : Jersey City, NJ Duration : Full time *The candidate will be responsible for:* • Design, development and maintenance of suite of middle office trade processing applications to support Hedge Fund Services business. • Working with business analysts and users in developing business requirements, integration requirements and formulate technical recommendation • Coding, Compiling, Unit testing, integration, packaging and deployment of developed software • Collaborate with other developers and offshore teams in managing the project deliverables • Assist in migrating the middle office trade processing apps and surrounds to a new Data Center • Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with defined standards and follow Agile development practices like SCRUM *Knowledge/Experience:* • Substantial experience in developing in Core Java/J2EE/Spring/Hibernate technologies • Strong technical analysis/debugging abilities • Proficient in working on backend technologies like SQL and stored procedures/triggers etc. • Experience with Weblogic and/or Websphere • Experience with middleware & Enterprise Messaging Systems such as MQ Series or TIBCO • Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.js or ExtJS • Experience with RESTful Web Services / SOA Development • Experience integrating with OMGEO apps (Oasys/CTM) and Brokers/Custodians via Swift messaging • Strong understanding of Swift message types related to trade matching and settlement • Full understanding of the Fixed Income and Equity trade life-cycle is a plus • Exposure to basic Unix/Shell Programming • Good Communication Skills. Ability to interact directly with various teams.
