Position :Sql Developer Location :Boston, MA Duration: 3 Month Contract Job Description: Develop database models and review schema changes proposed by the application developers. Coordinate the review and approval of the schema changes with the Database Architecture group. Develop SQL scripts for schema changes, stored procedures and data changes. Review T-SQL code written by other developers to ensure it is accurate, adheres to best practices in database development and complies with the company standards. Analyze data quality and develop solutions for data quality improvement. Analyze the effect of database changes on data quality, application performance and interfaces with external systems. Communicate the database changes to team members and all affected database users. Analyze database performance and optimize the database schema and SQL code for improved performance. Develop and implement database indexing strategies. Develop and maintain database design documentation, including database diagrams, data mapping documents, data dictionaries, SQL code snippets etc. Create ad-hoc SQL queries and reports for business users, auditors and other IT support teams. Provide support on all database related questions from the Help Desk, application developers, business line users and other IT support teams within the company. Maintain DTS packages for inbound and outbound data feeds.
