Position :OBIEE Designer Location:Austin,TX Duration:1 Month Contract Job Description: Oracle Data Warehousing Senior OBIEE Designer the consultant will be responsible for designing and tuning the technical infrastructure and database in a data warehouse implementation. An Oracle Data Warehousing Data Architect interacts with all levels of client technical and business management, along with various organizations in Oracle to marshal the resources required for successful implementation. Qualifications: Candidate must have five to ten or more years OBIEE experience, implementing decision support systems, Data Warehouses, preferably involving very large databases and multiple RAC nodes. A deep understanding of DW and DSS architecture, design, implementation is required. Preferred skills will include translating Logical Designs into Physical environment, instillation, tuning, and hardware selection. SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, UNIX, Linux, Windows skill valuable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Will leverage knowledge of current data warehouse and software development methodologies to install and build the warehouse environments using OBIEE. Will contribute to design through hands on knowledge of Oracle OBIEE metadata. Will assist in formulating business requirements and mapping source data to logical and physical designs. Ideally, will draw on previous experience with RAC and Grid Control to performance tune and monitor multi node architectures involving multi terabytes of data Will provide guidance, assistance, and training opportunities to team members and client staff. Will from time to time, provide quality and assurance oversight in ongoing implementations and/or will conduct assessments of existing decision support systems for purpose of making recommendations for improvements thereof.
