Role: Java Architect Duration: 6 MOnths Location: Charlotte,NC Rate: $52/Hr Responsibilities: This is a hands-on position for a senior technical developer/analyst within the Finance IT Department. with responsibilities for design and development of parts of the system that interact within a distributed development environment. The responsibilities include involvement in the design and enhancement of existing web systems into a service oriented system and adding more products/features. Participation in requirements gathering, definition, verification and validation. Understanding and interpretation of business needs into detailed technical requirements and specifications. Candidate must possess excellent technical skills and demonstrated ability to follow best practice SDLC methodology. Candidate must have an analytical, logical thought process for developing project solutions and resolution to issues. Excellent Oral and written communication skills are mandatory. Requirements: 5+ years hands-on technical experience with J2EE application development. Must have full lifecycle methodologies experience, including design, analysis, development, production deployments and support. Strong Experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, SOAP, Servlets, XSL and XML is required Experience in persistence mechanisms like JDBC, CMP Entity Beans, and Hibernate. Experience with Struts or MVC 2X Experience with Java, OOAD, Component Design and Construction Experience with Service Oriented Architecture practical implementation Experience in architecting solutions for Web applications Strong Experience in developing Transactional Systems involving high volume using the following technologies: JAVA, XSL, JavaScript, HTML, XML, J2EE, Struts, Spring, JDBC, SQL, RAD, Eclipse, Oracle 9i/10g/11g. Should be able to take Use cases, class diagrams and sequence diagrams and implement them. Ability to grasp and translate complex business rules in to executable Java, j2ee code. Knowledge and experience in applying industry standard Design Patterns for web application development. Financial experience is preferred. Knowledge of WebSphere and JBoss is a plus.
