We have seen another cause for this error, from the DSL:
NCE (No Change Expected) for the Macintosh
In the last week I have had two customers report -23 errors when doing a
backup with DiskFit Direct.
In both cases the customers had recently installed Virex 5.9.1.
I ran a test. If the Virex 5.9.1 control panel is installed, you will get
-23 errors during backup.
The only workaround is to Turn off Virex Control Panel or don't use DiskFit.
the -23 could be an extension conflict for the user.
