Patch Set 3: We also have a metric (see http endpoint /metrics) called "impala-server.start-time", and it looks like that gets set in ImpalaServer::ImpalaServer(ExecEnv* exec_env) Clearly there is overlap, but the metric will always be lagging a bit and that may be confusing.
