    @scwf Yeah writing this up and testing it now, but I think it's possible to 
do away with `yarn.version`. It should be synced up in general with 
`hadoop.version` of course. Default `hadoop.version` is 1.0.4 though and there 
is no such YARN version. But, `yarn-alpha` overrides to `hadoop.version=0.23.7` 
anyway. Unless I miss something, I don't see the case where a legitimate build 
has these unequal?
