Core overlap semantics match ISO/IEC 9075-2:2023 clause 8.14 and the half-open period model in clause 4.7.4. The PR correctly implements F053 for the happy path: normalization, interval form, touching-endpoint exclusion, point periods, and three-valued logic on tested NULL cases.
