Also, @li-zhihui, can you add a unit test for this?
Second, it looks like this only works in standalone mode and not for YARN
(since, as I understand the YARN code, YARN uses YarnClientSchedulerBackend and
not SparkDeploySchedulerBackend)? Was that the intention?
