    There was an old thread about how `LargeByteBufferHelperSuite.testMapFiles` 
and using random number generator instead of repeating the same bytes over and 
over again -- I switched to an XORShiftRandom generator, which makes the test 
go from 5s to 11s on my laptop.
    
    The only other remaining issue that I know of is that there is a test that 
memory maps a file > 2GB, but there wasn't any consensus on what to do.  I'll 
gladly introduce test tags separately if that will alleviate concerns.
