If we do not want to delete the data, we need to change the following value from `true` to `false`, which is the @param `deleteData` (i.e., deletes the underlying data along with metadata) https://github.com/apache/spark/blob/master/sql/hive/src/main/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/hive/client/HiveClientImpl.scala#L345
