Now that 2.0 is mostly ready to go out (with the new accumulator API) -
does maybe @squito have some cycles to look at this? I know @rxin is probably
pretty busy with the packaging but after 2.0 is fully out it would be nice to
see if you have any comments on this approach with the new API.
