    By the way, the slowdown on each subsequent iteration seems to be fixable 
by caching each new graph.  Some caching goes on internally in GraphX, but it 
does not seem to cache everything.  I'm calling cache() once on each iteration. 
 I'm assuming the latest graph will push older graphs out of memory as needed.  
I'm currently running tests to make sure that happens.
