the first festival was held in 1996 so far, 10 festivals have been
realized, more than 3000 works made by artists all over the world were
submitted for the programme renowned artists, prominent critics,
theoreticians, producers, distributors and journalists from all over the
world took part in the festival programme videomedeja presents and
promotes brand new videos, video and sound installations,computer
animations, interactive art, VJ performances... permanently obeying
copyrights and being strictly determined for professional approach,
videomedeja is significant festival on the international scene
videomedeja festival is stricly dedicated to art, completely independent
from sociopolitical establishment and all kinds of negative influences.

be nominated for the competitive selection which is curated by selection

international jury selects the best works for the following awards:
*Sphinx* - for the best video
*Bogdanka Poznanovic Award* - for the best installation, live
performance or url / software project

note that there is no certain criteria for work theme or form.
*quality only matters.*
we won't consider only works which contain discrimination, racist or any
similar aggressive message/content.
/criteria for submission/
the submitted works should be produced in 2005, 2006 or 2007; use one
application per entry piece
costs for sending preview and screening copies are to be paid by the sender
shipping is made at the risk of the sender; shipments have to indicate
the following: for cultural purposes only
tape/dvd - temporary loan for the festival; value=0 euro
no package will be accepted whose customs declaration forms have been
filled out differently!
please do not send previews by courier services - any additional costs
won't be covered by the festival
selection committee will make final selection no later than november
10th and will inform you immediately after
if your work is selected for competitive programme, we request a
screening copy from you
screening copies will be returned no later than 5 months after the
festival; organizers will use address provided in entry form, be sure to
inform us if there are any changes, otherwise we are not responsible for
any loss or damage!
return expenses for the screening copy will be covered by the festival
all competitors will receive a free copy of the festival catalogue
entry form is a sort of agreement and it is necessary to follow the
submission procedure and to submit one copy of entry online and also to
send signed hardcopy - after you fill online form the print version will
be loaded in your browser - along with the materials to:
