Prix Ars Electronica 2008: Entry Deadline Extended to March 19! Entrants still have until March 19, 2008 to submit projects for prize consideration to this year's Prix Ars Electronica. The deadline in the u19 - freestyle computing category has also been extended to April 7, 2008.
(Linz, March 12, 2008) In response to numerous requests, the deadline for submissions to this year's Prix Ars Electronica has been extended. Creatives have until March 19 to submit their work to the Computer Animation / Film / VFX, Digital Musics, Interactive Art, Hybrid Art and Digital Communities categories, and to vie for the Media.Art.Research Award. Austrian young people have until April 7 to get in the running in u19 - freestyle computing. The 2008 grand prizewinners will be singled out for recognition with six Golden Nica statuettes, an award from Linz's Ludwig Boltzmann Institute Media.Art.Research, and prize money totaling 115,000 euros.
