Although it's not Xen-specific, I thought that this article was a pretty good overview of issues involved in virtual server backups: http://searchstorage.techtarget.com/generic/0,295582,sid5_gci1277611,00.html For now, at least, we're running backup agents in the guest OSes just the same as we would on our physical machines.
