I have the following entry, which works well for me with ldap/kerberos:

nss_initgroups_ignoreusers
root,ldap,named,avahi,haldaemon,dbus,radvd,tomcat,radiusd,news,mailman

Check /etc/ldap.conf and verify the parameter

nss_initgroups_ignoreusers

includes haldaemon
