You email is a bit light on the details. Which Bind version did you have? Which version have you just installed? Which file was replaced?

(if the RPM tagged it as a config file, it would not have been replaced, but it's impossible to tell whether it is/should be/ shouldn't be a config file unless you tell us all which file you mean)
