We have a couple of boxes on IBM hardware.
We need to run a package for managing the RAID,
that only works with a couple of kernels:
2.6.18_8
2.6.18_53
When we asked about updates, they said the only support RHEL5, not 5.1,. 5.2
Although the 2.6.19_53 appears to be for 5.1
Anyway 2 questions:
Second, how do I configure yum so I get all the necessary:
bug fixes, and
security updates,
but not the unsupported enhancements.
First, how do I get the specific supported kernels, the only way I know how
to setup the
yum repositories a yum updates gets me a much more recent kernel.
