Folks, Just found this bit of speculation http://searchenterpriselinux.techtarget.com/news/article/0,289142,sid39_gci1328938,00.html Which declares that RHEL 6 is scheduled to come out Q1 2010.
"Fedora, a Red Hat-sponsored community software development project,
will introduce these changes first in Fedora 10, which is scheduled for
release on Oct. 28. After more than a year of testing and user feedback,
the improvements will be incorporated into production-ready RHEL 6 which
is planned for release in the first quarter of 2010."

However, I have not seen any confirmation of such in any other regular
media.

RHEL5 was in beta at the same time as FC6.

RHEL6 was not in beta at the same time as F10. Therefore, unless RH decided running the two betas in parallel is too difficult, I speculate that RHEL6 will be in beta at the same time as F11, That would be pretty soon now (I've not checked the Fedora roadmap), and would allow a release late this year.

You could also plot the release dates of previous releases of RHEL and add your own speculation.

My own experience with F10 suggests it should not be the base for RHEL6.

Historically, contributions to these discussions from Red Hatters tend to be teasers, and affirmations that "I am sure it will be released when it's ready."

Now, if you know one who might know, and get him/her down to the local pub to share a chat over a few choice beverages, you might just get a scoop!
