One of the biggest reasons for installing QLogic's supplied drivers has been the fact that RH doesn't provide the scli. Sometime within the past year, QLogic has started providing the scli command as a separate RPM that works with RHEL5. So, that's the option that I've taken with the RHEL5 deployments I'm using QLogic cards in.

Hi folks,

For those of you using qlogic HBA and dm-multipath, do you prefer to
use the driver provided with the distribution or as-downloaded from
qlogic? Was there a specific issue that required your use of one over
another?

Thanks!
