The answer seems so unbelievably simple: xm create instead of virsh or
virt-manager, and model=e1000 then works ... incredible ! I know that virsh
uses different configuration file format (xml instead of flat file in
/etc/xen), but I always thought they were just front ends for xen ... now I
see there is more. Now I can plan some serious testing of this platform ...
