Hi Folks,
I have installed RHEL-5.0 and 5.3 on server hardware (Sun Fire x4200) which has
Qlogic HBA (ISP2312) and EMC storage assigned. After installing Powerpath 5.3
SP 1 I am seeing too many paths then expected. I don't see the same behavior
when I install RHEL-4.x version of OS. I have come across a link which is
talking about enabling SPC 2 flag in EMC array side to fix this. I haven't see
anything on Red Hat knowledge base about it. If there is anything as such on
Red Hat or EMC website that anybody know? Also appreciate if anyone provide
info or link as to why we are seeing this behavior when installing RHEL-5.0,
Powerpath and not with RHEL-4.x and powerpath.
