crossmnt needs to be on the root export the read only on or the next
export picks up the read only from the root.
Like this:
/export $CLIENT(ro,fsid=0,crossmnt)
/export/qb3 $CLIENT(rw,nohide)
you are trying to mount a directory off the root and the root is readonly and
won't let you perform the operation on it.

I've tried that option too (both with and without "nohide" on the child
export). Again, no dice. And, 'exportfs -v' does indeed show the child
export as "rw".
This really shouldn't be this hard...
