I had a similar kind of trouble with these openib-* packages.. From what I
recall, in the course of the 5.3 to 5.4 upgrade, then openib-* packages
were renamed to just "*" (openib-perftest became 'perftest') but they were
in an 'Obsolete' loop (one would obsolete the other). I got around with
this in yum.conf:
# grep openib /etc/yum.conf
exclude=openib-mstflint openib-perftest openib-tvflash
I didn't follow up on the issue with RH support because I didn't have time
when the problem first occured..
