Hello
OS : Redhat Enterprise Linux Ver 5 (Tikanga)
Would like to know what is the maximum memory that a java process can
access ?
$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_14"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_14-b08)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode, sharing)
Thanks

I would think that you're actually limited not by Java, but by the underlying OS. Have a look at http://www.redhat.com/rhel/compare/ and see if that's helpful?
