A few days ago a friend sent me a URL in an e-mail. It failed when I left clicked on it. When I right clicked on it in Evolution, selected "Copy Link Location", and pasted it into Firefox, it failed again. When I replied back to my friend, he said something about extraneous characters in my quoted reply. After a few exchanges that were reminiscent of "Who's On First", I figured out what he was talking about.
When Evolution receives a URL in an message body containing the "&" ampersand character, it displays that URL correctly and underlined. However, when you use it as a link there's an error. If you copy and paste it into an editor, the error becomes visible: Evolution display: http://xxxxxxxxxx&xxxxx URL behind display: http:///xxxxxxxxx&xxxxx Is this insertion of an "amp;" string following an ampersand character the bug I think it is? --Doc Savage Fairview Heights, IL _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
