After updating to RHEL 5.5 and openldap-* 2.3.43-12.el5.x86_64, TLS connections to the OpenLDAP server take several seconds to establish. I can downgrade back to 2.3.43-3.el5.x86_64 and everything works fine.
I ran slapd with -d2 to gather debugging during the 3+ second delay, and I saw the following line repeated 37,370 times during the delay: tls_read: want=5 error=Resource temporarily unavailable slapd appeared to be busy-looping during the delay as well, chewing up 100% of the CPU. The first search or two after a "service ldap restart" work okay, but then it goes to 3+ seconds. It doesn't appear to matter how I am connecting to the server (ldapi:///, ldap://localhost/, ldap://<servername>/, ldaps://<servername>/); I get the same result with any TLS attempt. Is anybody else seeing this (or running the updated LDAP packages and _not_ seeing this)? -- Chris Adams <[email protected]> Systems and Network Administrator - HiWAAY Internet Services I don't speak for anybody but myself - that's enough trouble. _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
