I'm running OO 3.2 from RHEL 5. This has worked without problems until just
about the time of the RHEL 5.5 release. At that point OO simply refused to
launch at all. I thought I saw a message, somewhere, about a missing shared
object library file, but now I can't reproduce that.

Uninstalling OO, then reinstalling OO 3.2 restores functionality. After
that, Package Update flags openoffice.org-ure.i386 1:3.1.1-19.5.el5 as
needing an update. Allowing that update again breaks OO. Another uninstall
and re-install restores OO usability.

I've added openoffice* to my /etc/yum.conf exclude list. I suppose that
since I'm running about the OO version released with RHEL, I should have
done that anyway.
