Hi I've yum installed tomcat, that was fine. It was the intricacies of the conf files I was looking for /etc/tomcat6
Just a simple do this, alter this, with these files was all I was looking for with a brief explanation of why. Java always seems like a nightmare with Linux and getting a non-cludged version running properly.
