Hello, I would like to ditch my post-installation script (for server installations) which is becoming too complex. And I would like to move to a systems configuration management system where configuration is written down in plain-text files, so that it may be put in our version control system.
I have read about a lot of system configuration tools, such as Puppet and cfengine, and they both sound interesting. Now I need to hear from people with first-hand experience: Does someone here happen to have experience with at least two system configuration systems? Which were they, and which did you prefer and why? By the way: The requirement for text-based configuration means that I can forget Satellite Server / Spacewalk, right? Thanks in advance. -- Regards, Troels Arvin <[email protected]> http://troels.arvin.dk/ _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
