Brilliant, thanks for that.  I knew I'd seen it before but I was looking in all 
the wrong places.

The short story is it's the tomcat5 package.  Last month an update horribly 
broke compatibility with the Sun jdk 1.4.2 so I had to roll it back.  I have a 
ticket open that is waiting for resolution but patch time is coming back around 
again and I want to take all the available precautions.
