So, we have the NC522SFP in a few of our systems, and did not need to load
HP's driver for them.  We aren't using it for the throughput, but to reduce
latency.  For that it seems to be doing a terrific job.  I've heard that
the reason they introduced the NC550SFP is because they had throughput
issues with the NC522SFP, more specifically that it couldn't meet its own
specs.  I can't confirm this based on our experience.

We are trying to get some of the NC550SFPs equivalent in some of our
blades, and did not need an HP specific driver either.  But we are having a
hard time getting them for our stand alone servers right now.  Apparently
its a firmware issue when used with an proliant dl180 g6.
