Red Hat maintains a dedicated manual for virtualization solutions bundled with Red Hat Enterprise Linux:
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/html/Virtualization/index.html Xen para-virtualization (no virtualization instructions necessary) is an option with Enterprise Linux release 5, in addition to adding KVM in recent release 5 updates. The Xen hypervisor continues to be supported in the kernel 2.6.18 release. Section 17 in the aforementioned also addresses SELinux on the host with regards to select guest details -- giving the one-two of virtualization + SELinux at both host and guest. Otherwise, additional SELinux in the guest itself is the same as any other installation. http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/html/Virtualization/chap-Virtualization-Security_for_virtualization.html Also know the virtualization (Xen and KVM hypervisors) bundled with Enterprise Linux is also separate from the new Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) standalone hardware and related software stack, which is built on KVM technology with extensive management and other solutions included. Those options are addressed in additional documentation outside of the Enterprise Linux documentation. http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization_for_Servers/index.html http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization_for_Desktops/index.html -- Bryan J Smith Professional, Technical Annoyance Linked Profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/bjsmith ------------------------------------------------------------ "Now if you own an automatic ... sell it!
