Thanks.

Is there anything to make migration easier in RHEL 6 it may be a toss up
between
5.5 or 6?

Thanks,
James Harrison

James,

What I think you are looking for is a P2V solution. Basically, you can use dd
to dump a disk to a file. That file can be used as a disk image in Xen.

Subject: [rhelv5-list] Migrate Host to Xen or Qemu

Hello all,

Is it possible to migrate a host machine's OS to a Xen or Qemu virtual host? We
are using RHEL 5.5. Are there any instructions for this?

Many thanks,
James Harrison
