Thanks, James. I'd found the udp option was needed for a Fedora 13 client; otherwise, its NFS dumps to the NAS locked the client up entirely. (I'd also found this to be needed with Solaris and OpenSolaris systems mounting a different Linux-based NAS--e.g., NetGear ReadyNAS).
