Hi,
When trying to check as root, with the command
file /proc/kcore
/proc/kcore: regular file, no read permission
whereas in rhel5 86_64 bit server it is working fine.
Here is the size of the kcore file in the rhel4 32 bit server.
-r-------- 1 root root 939528192 Jan 12 16:01 /proc/kcore
Mentioning the memory of the server ( first two lines mentioned )
cat /proc/meminfo
MemTotal: 5974128 kB
MemFree: 4683336 kB
