We use sar -i 3600 -f /var/log/sa/saXY
to provide very basic hourly load stats. However since the release of 5.7 it looks like sar has changed in some way so that -i XXXX no longer selects data at XXXX second intervals, but for our systems at (XXXX/4) second intervals. Do other people see this difference in behaviour? Looks like a bug to me unless I've missed something. thanks iain sar -V sysstat version 7.0.2 (C) Sebastien Godard Linux 2.6.18-274.el5 #1 SMP Fri Jul 8 17:36:59 EDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux -- Iain Morrison IT Manager MRC Epidemiology Unit Institute of Metabolic Science Box 285 Addenbrooke's Hospital Hills Road Cambridge CB2 0QQ Tel 01223 769200 _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
