Hi Jack,

I don't have time to look at this in detail right now, but just as an
additional data point, our 64-bit RHEL5.8 machines updated just fine
yesterday, and we now have the latest glibc and kernel installed.

I heard that RHEL6 machines are having issues with glibc updates, though,
and that '--skip-broken' might alleviate the problem until that is fixed.
