In the new NetworkManager I cant find an entry where its possible to define the feature to tell the dhcp-client to request a nameserver entry. So I change manually /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to include a line with
DHCP_HOSTNAME=rhel6virtual
but this file seems not to be used. It is the only fcfg-eth* file, but ifconfig tells I am using eth1:

[r...@rhel6virtual ~]# ifconfig
eth1      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:0C:29:09:9D:05
          inet addr:149.236.13.53  Bcast:149.236.13.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::20c:29ff:fe09:9d05/64 Scope:Link
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:77996 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:38905 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:51088540 (48.7 MiB)  TX bytes:9485095 (9.0 MiB)

How do I enable this feature?

In Red Hat BugzillaI found: Bug 469336 NetworkManager does not send hostname to dhcp server
