Hello, following a fresh default installation of RHEL 6.2 (client) I just ran "yum update" for the first time. The system successfully downloadad and installed some 30 updates, but the processed finished with this message:
There was an error communicating with RHN. Package profile information could not be sent. Error communicating with server. The message was: Name or service not known Installed products updated. Does this require attention, or does it just indicate a temporary problem on the Redhat server? Is sending of "package profile information" after installation of updates an essential operation? If so, should this information be sent manually in this case? During installation, the system was registered with RHN without any problem, and profiles have been transferred at that time.
