I spent some time this afternoon and have fixed the issue with the starbucks sample. I'm guessing it would fix your issue also. I have only fixed this on the servicelocator branch because within the next week I plan to merge this to the master branch. The issue can be fixed by using a readyForWorkEndpoint in the load balancer configuration. This way normal messages aren't competing with the ready for work messages. I may eventually make that attribute required when using the load balancer due to the problems it causes without it. Hope this helps.
