What if the album browser title was changed from "Albums" to "Albums by year" when "Sort by year" is selected in the "future sort menu" ? That way the iTunes look would in a way stay intact =) This would of course not show the actual year... Personally it wouldn't bother me, as I would never want to find an album to hear based on year.
